Anthropocene in the coastal nature - images

Until August 31, the exhibition "The Anthropocene in the coastal nature" is open at the art gallery "Kintai Arts" (Kuršių g. 30, Kintai), featuring paintings created during the residency by Nazli Moripek (Germany), Younghun Kim (Italy), Kristina Mažeikaitė (Lithuania), and Martynas Pekarskas (Lithuania)

The Kintai Arts residency invited artists to interpret the theme of the Anthropocene: to explore the landscape of the lowland region of the Pomeranian coast, to delve into the natural changes taking place in the Pomeranian region during the period of the residency, the migration of birds, to reflect on the synergy between man and nature. Monitoring these processes is an invitation to painters to experiment with plein air painting in the midst of the nature of the Pomeranian region, and to take a closer look at the often intangible life of the wild nature of the region by taking part in the expeditions organised by Kintai Arts.
