Agita Reke is a Latvian electroacoustic music composer and a sound artist.\u00a0 Her artistic practice encompasses fixed media, live performances, multimedia performances, and sound installations. As a composer, she has been collaborating with acoustic, contemporary music ensembles, like L\u2019Esemble Multilat\u00e9rale\u00a0(Paris),\u00a0Fractales\u00a0(Belgium),\u00a0Names\u00a0(Salzburg),\u00a0Ensemble for New Music Tallinn\u00a0(Tallinn),\u00a0Latvian Radio choir\u00a0(Riga), and\u00a0Sinfonietta Riga\u00a0(Riga).\u00a0As a performer, she has been a member of an electroacoustic experimental project\/group Systema Solaris (Riga), and the electronic duo\u00a0flowerpower.\u00a0Participant in the Venice Biennale\u00a0Musica College\u00a0as an experimental performer in 2021.\u00a0\u00a0Performed in festivals „Ska\u0146u Me\u017es”, „Tallinn Music Week – Ska\u0146u Me\u017es &\u00a0\u00dcle Heli”, „Ung Nordisk Musik Reykjav\u00edk”, „Afekt (Tartu)”.<\/p>\n
Along with sound artists J. „Mo’ong” Santoso Pribadi and Kris Kuldkepp, Agita takes part in a two-week-long residency programme ‘Kintai.Kitaip’, inviting its participants to explore the local soundscape along with Pauline Oliveros’ ideas of „sonic awareness”.
