She has a background in Art\nHistory and has been working as an art educator for over 30 years.\nShe started as a visual resources manager in the Art department at the\nUniversity of California in Davis, where she edited learning content for\nArt History faculty and collaborated closely with the Studio Artists of\nthe MFA program. Later she became an educational researcher in the\nArt and History museum in Brussels, where she piloted and developed\nseveral innovative educational programs for culturally diverse\naudiences. Most recently she worked as a curator at MO Museum in\nVilnius Lithuania, where she started the first VTS training program for\nmuseum educators and staged a children\u2019s exhibition (Lake full of\nStars) centred around experiential learning. She is the founder of\neasel.world where she currently offers VTS training courses and\neducational programs based on the discussion of single artworks.\nKaren has trained numerous educators in different countries, from the\nArt & History Museum (Brussels), the National Gallery of Art (Vilnius),\nThe FoMu (Antwerpen), The Contemporary Art Centre (Vilnius), to MO\nMuseum (Vilnius). *We start every day with a joint session with artists\nand facilitators, to explore a mutual understanding\naround art and nature.
